Q. I am unfamiliar with the unit measurements used in Canada. Is there a website that will do conversions for me?
A. Yes, there are a number of sites available that will perform conversion calculations. One that may help you can be found at http://www.sciencemadesimple.com/conversions.html.
Q. What utilities are the Sun Peaks Municipality – Utilities Division responsible for?
A. The Utilities Division is responsible for the treatment and delivery of drinking water and the collection and treatment of wastewater including a wastewater compost facility (see Compost tab to the left for more information). Sun Peaks also operates the gas storage and distribution system throughout the resort. All other utilities within the resort are operated by other businesses/corporations.
Q. Sun Peaks is now producing Class A Compost. How do I arrange to pick up some for my garden?
A. Sun Peaks is producing Class A Compost using the wasted materials from the wastewater treatment plant. Compost is now available. A bin is stocked weekly during the spring and summer and is located south of the TNRD Waste Transfer Station. Test results are available under the ‘Composting’ Tab. You can contact the office at 250-578-2020 to find out more information or to arrange for a larger quantity.
